Order the ZTE Hawkeye today for $200 only and get to scroll your screen using your eyes
Hi tech fans, meeeen! I tell you am just so fascinated on the new Techs from this year's CES2017. Technology is moving higher and higher daily, lets not even mention yearly.
Last year ZTE launched Project CSX Crowd Source X, a competition which empowered customers to submit their vision of the next great mobile device. After an extended brainstorming session involving 400 submissions from more than 176 countries, the company settled on a team of four creative designers who won the competition: the Hawkeye, an eye-tracking phone that adheres to the surface of tables, walls, and chairs.
Lets see if they succeeded and talk all about the ZTE Hawkeye functionality, hardware and aesthetics review...
The goal of the competition was to produce the world’s first “crowdsourced” mobile device with the idea, design and name coming directly from consumers and voted on by ZTE’s online community. As a manufacturer with a long history of building quality mobile products, ZTE took the initiative to give consumers the reigns and decide what to build for 2017. And it’s fair to say that they seriously succeeded, it's specs are impressive and the aesthetic part are "out of this world". I don't know how I can move my eyes frequently like that but lets wait and "see".
ZTE Hawkeye functionality, specifications and availability
The specs! Packed with 3GB RAM and an internal memory of 32GB to support the 13MP camera and apps, it gets the work done. Okay, lets start with why it's called the Hawkeye. It gets that name from the eye-tracking system, or ETS which comprises of two laser-focusing cameras - one on the front and one on the bottom - that captures users’ pupil movement. This allows users to scroll up and down a PDF, book, or dense text file without tilting their heads, for instance,or here's the funniest and tricky part to me - rewind or fast-forward a video by glancing to the left or right.
The self-adhesive backing has the ability to stick the phone against most vertical surfaces, resisting the forces of gravity. Since consumers may not always want the adhesive feature of the phone at all times - for example when the phone is in a purse - it is being made available as an optional case for the phone. This way, the phone can be placed into the case and stuck against a surface when desired, or the case is removed when the consumer does not want this feature.
