Meet the Lenovo Ideacentre 610s, a media center PC with its own detachable projector

Lenovo Thinkcentre 610S
is one of the latest Personal Computers that I have loved so much from Lenovo in 2016. We all know computers for many years can get hooked up to desktop monitors or to big-screen TVs, but the Lenovo Ideacentre 610S has an even easier way to share your videos, photos or games as it comes with a detachable projector that sits right on top of the triangular chassis for turning any room into an impromptu home theater. It is a media center PC, with its own projector that beams your movies and TV shows across 110 inches (279 cm) of wall or screen space.
The Lenovo Ideacentre 610s was officially unveiled at CES 2016 and will be on sale starting this June for US$849 or Ksh. 84,900 and above. We've seen Ideacentres in various shapes and sizes before, but this is a significant departure in terms of both design and specs from the Ideacentre Q190, the last dedicated home theater PC Lenovo launched. The look is more triangular coffee flask than rectangular paperback book, with the metallic chassis taking up 2.9 liters in total volume.
The projector attachment fits right on top, or can be placed nearby for the perfect angle/distance from your black wall or projector screen. Lenovo says the projector can throw an image up to 110 inches in size (diagonally), at 720p resolution and 220 lumens. That's decent for casual viewing, but this isn't going to scratch your 4K itch. There's a tripod hole underneath, two tiny speakers, a HDMI input and one USB 2.0 port for connecting external peripherals.

The 610s comes with Microsoft Windows 10 and packs the current-gen Intel Core i7 CPU, up to 16GB of RAM and either 2TB of standard hard drive or 128GB of SSD storage, and even some graphics power, in the form of an Nvidia GeForce 750 Ti graphics card. This is more of a movie machine than a gaming rig.
