Snapchat spectacles Vs Google Glass

A lot of talking online of how Snapchat spectacle is to over-through Google Glass

It's been a few months now since Snap Inc. aka Snapchat introduced the Snapchat "Spectacles". Ooh to those who don't know yet... Snapchat changed it's company name to Snap Inc. Guess that's because of the serious competition going on between Social Media firms and companies. Query out there is if Snapchat Spectacles would succeed where Google Glass failed, today's focus is on Snapchat Spectacles "SS" and Google Glass "GG", let's talk about them and see their comparison... At the end of the day its the fans/customers to decide on that query after we know about them.

Google introduced Google Glass very much earlier and it did hit the tech market with a big bang. It was an evolution to a part of tech where users can record anything on-the-go. I to be honest was excited. I would record my whole day. What would you do? ...or have you done with Google Glass. Post it in the comments section below the article.

Snap's Spectacles have already drawn many comparisons to Glass, Google's "head-mounted computer" that was unveiled in 2013 to much fanfare. At $1,500, it was expensive because it has more features (head-mounted computer); it was banned in many public places because of what it can do, and it was largely ridiculed by mainstream consumers for looking too geeky. Now this is what's drawing the line, or is it?

The looks

Which one looks better between Snap's Spectacles and Google Glass?
I would go for Google Glass not only because I love the geeky look but also that it's not flashy, if you like flashy spectacles you can go for Snapchat Spectacles.Fashion people would love the spectacles as geeks go for the glass.

How Google Glass works and how Snap's Spectacles work

Google Glass' creepiness factor did hit many people, reason why it got banned at some public places. That is where technology is heading. Without or with Google Glass, someone somewhere is watching you.  With Google Glass, you couldn't tell when it was recording you but with Snap's Spectacles they actually light up on the sides when they're recording you — it doesn't make the act of recording any less creepy, but at least you'll know!

Google Glass work with many Apps including third party apps. Many other apps are being developed daily. Google Glass has other Smart Glasses competitors like Mota Glasses, Recon Jet among others. Google Glass can record long videos that can be used anywhere.
Snap's Spectacles only work with Snapchat App and only stores 200 videos 20min each that can be uploaded via Snapchat whenever there is connection to your device(s).

Cost

How much is Snap's Spectacles and how much is Google Glass?

I consider the first-generation Spectacles "a toy," and its price is a reflection of this.
Snap CEO Evan Spiegel.

Unlike Google Glass, which was priced like a computer at $1,500 for the first "Explorer Edition," because of how much it can do. Snap Spectacles will only cost $129, making them much more accessible to the mainstream public which is not bad. Snap Inc. is limiting it's spectacle's supply saying with a more attainable price point, it will help generate a good deal of commercial demand.

Accessories (Charger)
As Google Glass battery last you a full day of typical use, Snap's spectacles can also last that long and even longer because it doesn't do much. Talking of their chargers, the Snapchat spectacles win, it's case is also a charger. That bright, colorful packaging is clever, doubling as a way to charge up the Spectacles when not in use. Sure, you need to bring the case around, but you probably would anyway. Google glass micro USB charger is just more like any other device micro USB charger and can mix with your other chargers making it hard to find mostly when in a rush.
NOTE: To extend you Google Glass battery life span avoid using any other micro USB charger.
