LG's point of view is that smartphones have become more about comparing specs and things have stagnated. People are less interested, because all phones more or less offer the same experience, perhaps in slight degrees of better or worse, but the same none the less. LG is taking a totally different road with its new LG G5.
The LG G5 running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow has an impressive array of accessories well knows as "LG Friends". These aren't just the regular boring Bluetooth headset (although LG's new Tone Platinum has just been announced and is one of the first to offer aptX HD, that's 24-bit wireless audio), but the fun really starts with the LG Cam Plus and the LG Hi-Fi Plus.
These take advantage of the G5's modular nature and its friends: pressing a button lets you remove the bottom section of the phone, along with the battery. This bottom section can be changed to enhance the functionality of your phone like the camera grip which gives physical control for launching the camera, taking a photo and zooming in and out and more it gives a more battery life to the one available. One super awesome friend is the LG Rolling Bot for a Smart home monitoring system that is controlled from the smartphone. LG G5 is water resistant with a metallic body and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor backed by 4GB of RAM, Quad HD resolution display, wonderful speaker quality even at maximum volume and uses a Type C port for connection. Its 360 degrees camera lets you take 16 megapixel 360 degree photos or 360 degree video in 2k resolution. The Power ON switch is behind it just below the dual cameras with fingerprint reader functionality.
The 2 camera lenses behind the G5 the main lens is a 16 megapixels sensor with optical image stabilizer and an aperture of F 1.8 and second camera is a wide angle 8 megapixel sensor at F 2.4.
Lets just say the LG's story is now bigger than that of a single phone. It's about a change of direction. LG has just gone to another awesome unexpected direction. Even without its friends its still an awesome phone and awesome speed during multitasking.
