Something more awesome is that they are not just your regular normal cases but these Live Cases have a built-in NFC tag, which interacts with the phone. Once snapped on, the case will interact with the phone to launch an animated wallpaper. It also has a hardware button, which users can customize for specific functions like toggling Wi-Fi or opening an app.
How to install Google’s new Live Cases?
If you want to use Live cases for your Nexus smartphone, first you have to visit the Google Store. Where you can find two options— Photos Live Case and Places Live Case.
- The Photos Live Case lets you print a photo on the case and further customize it by choosing color palettes, designs, and shapes among others.
- The Places Live Case lets you pick a place on Google Maps and print it out on the case.
This
isn’t Google’s first Live Case, it already rolled out Live Cases in
collaboration with artist Skrillex. These limited edition cases were
compatible with the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung
Galaxy S5, and Samsung Galaxy S6.
Check out the Google Live Cases awesome review video by Marques Brownlee MKBHD and if you don't get convinced to buy a Nexus and get your own custom made case I seriously don't know what else will.
