Street View, by Google Maps, was launched in several cities in the United States in 2007 but it has grown and now includes cities and rural areas worldwide, Kenya got Street View in Google Maps in the year 2018 but had already had an offer of 360-degree images of Samburu National Reserve added on to the map feature which made a mini debut in Kenya in 2015. To this, Google also launched Google My Business worldwide in 2014 which is a separate feature by Google to help businesses connect with their customers, giving business owners more control of what shows up in the search results when someone searches their business name.

Google Street View is a virtual representation of our surroundings on Google Maps, consisting of millions of panoramic street-level images. Blue lines on Google Maps indicate that Street View imagery on that section is available. Google launched Street View in Kenya with 9,500 kilometers of beautiful imagery of Nairobi, Mombasa, Eldoret, Nakuru, Nyeri, and Malindi available on Google Maps and accessible to everyone around the world.

Google Street View displays sweeping views of stitched images and most of the photography is done by car, but some are done by walking via the Street View trekker and Street View trolley, by riders via the Street View three-wheeler, on snow via the Street View snowmobile and on water using the boat and underwater apparatus. Google captured views are Google-owned content bearing the credits “Street View” or “Google Maps”, faces and license plates in our imagery is always automatically blurred.

Via the Content from other contributors option Google is helping businesses grow.   • Editing information - Google My Business allows business owners to supply information that can show up in a Google search, such as open hours, addresses, phone numbers, and photos. The service is free.  
  • Website - Google My Business allows businesses to create a website at no cost. 
  • Reviews - Customers can review businesses and business owners can respond to reviews.
  • Posts - Google My Business allows business owners to post updates about announcements or sales. There are currently 4 different post types: What's New?, Events, Product, and Offer. You can also add an optional Call-To-Action button to posts where customers can Book, Buy, Order Online, Learn More, and Sign Up. Posts show up in Google search results. 
  • Pictures and video - Business owners are able to upload pictures and videos to a company's Google My Business. Business owners can choose to upload a logo and header images. 
  • API - Application Programming Interface is available for automating many tasks of Google My Business for managing multiple locations at scale. Via Google My Business Dashboard, you can post posts of your multiple locations. 
  • ...and lastly Third-party apps - In October 2017, Google My Business API was expanded to allow third-party tools to schedule posts in advance, similar to scheduling tools for social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Only a few services currently support Google My Business post scheduling, including OneUp, dlvr.it, and Sendible.
